Add espisode status as watched

I really don't see the added value in this, SR is about media collection. We don't have a video player either, for instance

It's useful.if you.think.about automation or if you think about disk outage in order to redownload episode

| OIK2 commented almost 2 years ago

Could also be the first step to post-watch actions. Delete episode/season when watched, move episode/season to archive location when watched, replace with low disk-space version when watched.

| Rouzax commented almost 2 years ago

The only way this could be useful if it was linked to your Trakt watched status.

| gborri commented almost 2 years ago

@Rouzax i agree wik OIK2 in this way you can build a lot of automatic action and use trakt or whatelse alternative provider in order to make automatic status change.

"The only way this could be useful if it was linked to your Trakt watched status." < false statement

Trakt integration is going to be rolled back to only do exactly what it is really intended for for one. Second, you poll your media centers for watched status for the change. There is no reason for 3rd wheel.

One point of Watched flag is to have Automated DL and post processing on larger number of series where you and or your family members can track which episode you/they watched last. Currently As soon as I watch episode I set it as Archived Even They are still available for watching but that is just a workarround and partial solution.

I'd love having at least in the shows view something like a 2nd bar under/above the 'downloaded' bar showing my Trakt watched status. I was just looking at the SickRage code but that's way above my programming skills...

I'm not sure I'm interpreting your comment correctly, my English skills may be falling short. Do you mean you that in the case this feature would be developed, it wouldn't use Trakt? I use trakt to collect watch status' from multiple Kodi/OpenELEC htpcs at home, TraktForVLC on my laptop when I'm in a hotel or something and I have some copies on a USB flash drive with me, and Seriesguide on Android when I'm watching something at a friends place. One central place, I love it!

Yeah this is really outside of SR. Your media center should already be handling this.

| sammcj commented 7 months ago

Simple integration with trakt.tv would be great, it would mean SickRage could avoid re-downloading episodes you've already seen.

| hapklaar commented 2 months ago

I agree. It would be great to have the option to see the 'watched' status of episodes in SickRage.
