Same as Sorted and Inverted Sorter, but with Overflow Gate

original overflow gate sends items to left/right if front path is blocked, how inverted overflow gate will work?

| ZkyLB commented 3 months ago

i think it will work like this: down output 1 ~ overflow ~ output 2 output 3

it evenly spreads out outputs to output 1 and 2 if output 1 is blocked, it will go to output 2. if output 2 is blocked, it will go to output 1. if output 1 and 2 is blocked, it will go to output 3.

Inverted Overflow Gate send to front conveyor if left/right cannot output

| dandiez commented about 2 months ago

I would find it useful to have a right overflow and another left overflow. That way if you have parallel tracks you can balance them with the load either to the right or to the left. The proposal of sending to front only if right and left are overloaded could be made equivalent to either right or left, if you put junctions either side to fully block the passage to either right or left (unless there is a better way to block a connection?)

its called armored conveyors

Maybe for inverted overflow, outputs to front only if sides are blocked, like the inverted sorter.

I do not like this (Inverted) concept I would like to have it able to switch on the block itself like you could set the material on a sorter.

Echua36 said... "Inverted Overflow Gate send to front conveyor if left/right cannot output" I agree with this, if going with inverted. Switching would be ideal and would cut down on number of items in inventory that can be placed.
