Changing settings of an open Guake window via command line interface options would be super helpful. For instance, I want to set the transparency to full when I am running certain applications automagically. I also would like to be able to setup a side by side window with a bash script. Also, if I could run bash scripts, I could make my own custom setups.

You could change transparency using: gsettings set guake.style.background transparency 70
