LocalIdentity/PathOfBuilding Close Combat Support 2 Currently, Close Combat Support only affects the mana cost of the skill. The (up to) 60% More Melee Damage does nothing. Also, the 0.5% Increased Melee Damage per quality does nothing. I think assuming the full 60% More Damage would be better than not supporting the gem at all.
LocalIdentity/PathOfBuilding Effective DPS when using culling effects 11 I'd like to see the effect of culling strike reflected in total DPS. Having regular 10% culling strike from Culling Strike Support or any other source is an effective ~11% more damage ( 1 / 0.9 ). Having the Slayer ascendancy 20% cull is an effective 25% more damage ( 1 / 0.8 ). I'm aware that the actual DPS is not changed (and therefore leech etc also isn't), but most people are probably more interested in how one build's DPS compares to another. A build with 1 million Shaper DPS *with* Slayer culling currently seems just as effective at killing Shaper as a 1 million Shaper DPS build *without* culling even though the first one does it in 80% of the time. This could of course be made optional via a checkbox in the configuration tab or similar if that seems appropriate.
LocalIdentity/PathOfBuilding Custom character modifiers in the configuration tab 2 I propose to add a text box in the configuration tab. It would function like when you manually write mods when editing an item and could be used for things that are not in the current release. It can be ascendancy nodes that are not 100% supported (like Avatar of the Veil or Violent Retaliation), new support gems or many other things. People usually add things like that to flasks or other items, but having a way to add those mods to the character itself would be a lot better. That way, you can compare items without having to worry about your custom mods being disabled when you swap out the item you put those modifiers on. Custom mods would also be easier to find when they are in a standardized place, both for yourself and for someone that imports your build.

LocalIdentity/PathOfBuilding Effective DPS when using culling effects From the wiki: "A hit with culling strike will kill an enemy if it is still alive with 10% of maximum life or less after the hit. This occurs instantly; there is no delay between the enemy taking damage from the hit and being killed by culling strike. " It sounds as if culling strike *does* kill the enemy with the *same* hit that reduced it to below the culling threshold. The wiki might be wrong, or I might be misinterpreting it. 10 months ago
LocalIdentity/PathOfBuilding Effective DPS when using culling effects How is that any different than wasting part of a hit when killing a monster at 0% hp? The only difference is that the "overkill zone" starts at 20% of enemy hp instead of 0%. 10 months ago
LocalIdentity/PathOfBuilding Close Combat Support @LocalIdentity My bad, I really thought I had looked everywhere for that setting. Thanks! Two problems remain: The quality of Close Combat does not provide Increased Melee Damage. Default Melee Distance in the settings is NULL, not zero. This means Close Combat will always have a yellow check mark in the list of support gems and not do anything unless the user manually sets the distance. 10 months ago
