|Akaito/reassembly-ai-mod-example||Fine tune spinal weapon aiming||A further addition for ai that control spinal weapons is I often see a disconnect between the ai that fires the spinal weapon and the ai that steers/pilots the ship. Very often I will see an ai with spinal weapons well within range of an enemy but not fire until the ship decides to point its spinals towards the enemy, often way too close for comfort. From testing there seems to be an angle where the steering ai wont turn the ship, but the firing ai deems the target too off center to fire and the ship either charges the enemy or backpedals at this stalemate angle until it dies. What I think should be changed is the acceptable angle difference from the center of your ship vs the target depending on the range of the target and how many spinal weapons are on the current ship.||about 1 year ago|
