Ability to sort library items displayed in newsletter

Hello, it'd be excellent to be able to change the order items are displayed under "Recently Added Movies", "Recently Added TV Shows", etc. Right it sorts by most recent, but an option to sort by "highest rating", "most recently released", etc would be really cool.

Some email clients cut off the full list behind a "message clipped" link, so more interesting titles might not be seen above the fold. For example, in a week when more than a few titles are uploaded, "Black Panther" definitely shouldn't get bumped below the fold in favor of "The Haunted Mansion"! Sorting by critical ratings or release date would solve this.

I'd really like to see sorting by release date as well. It's what's still keeping me using PlexEmail (yea it's old, but it still works and can be tweaked) for now.

This would be awesome. I think it goes towards a higher level feature request for a newsletter template builder (no doubt a huge undertaking). But this would be something ideal people like myself that aren't that comfortable/familiar with doing custom coding.

Alright since it doesn't look like this feature is getting implemented any time soon, I spent a few hours figuring out how to do this with custom templates. Not exactly easy to figure out since there's very little documentation on how the underlying data objects worked and the templates are all written in Mako, but I wrote a blog post on how to do this if anyone else is interested (@ksarnelli @brendanmcdevitt). Making the change itself is actually pretty simple: https://www.nickearl.net/2018/07/01/sort-movies-and-shows-in-tautulli-newsletters-with-a-custom-template/#more-199
