Akaito/reassembly-ai-mod-example Palette Ship / Easier way to add blocks to the available palette, rather than needing a palette ship. 13 Right now the easiest way to get blocks into the palette for a mod, is to make a palette ship. Which you basically throw every block on a ship, and save it into the mod, making all of those blocks usable in the campaign. There are a few issues with this, being: - The palette ship can spawn normally like any ship, and it's hard to stop this from happening. - Takes a while to make a palette ship. - Alternative is to make a dozen ships with a lot of different blocks. A ship in your mod has to use a block in order for it to show up in the campaign. This is a struggle since most ship builders for a mod want to build in the campaign, not the sandbox. So hopefully something can be done about this, either by making it so we can disable the palette ship from spawning, or changing the system where ships in the mod determine what blocks appear, and which ones don't.
Akaito/reassembly-ai-mod-example R-Generators that only work with a certain amount of energy. 6 Currently, R generators will work even if you don't have enough energy to sustain them. Meaning modders have to worry about players abusing them.
Akaito/reassembly-ai-mod-example Combining colored blocks / 3 Hull with the exact same stats, different colors. 2 Maybe a way to switch between colors on a hull? I currently have 3 different colors for hull on the mod i'm currently working on, and it's getting fairly messy in the game. Having to unlock the same block 3 times just for a different color is getting annoying fairly quickly, and it's hard to make ships with. But I don't want to sacrifice color just because the game can't combine the blocks which have the same stats. TLDR: I have 3 hull, with the same stats. But they're just a different color. And I have to unlock all 3. A way to "combine" them into one purchase? Thanks!
Akaito/reassembly-ai-mod-example Featured Workshop Mods - Official Mods -1 Tried and tested mods that Arthur wouldn't mind seeing added to the game. First Issue: He can't legally add the mods to the game without legal problems. Second Issue: Deciding which mods should be "Official" Alright, first issue detail: Featured mods will be put into a collection, and shown on the main menu. I might draw something for this. Second issue: Collection of featured mods maintained by the people. Maybe with a vote.
Akaito/reassembly-ai-mod-example Diplomacy - Faction Expansion 6 I am happy with the current state of the game. But the only main addition I would be hoping for, would be diplomacy and faction expansion. I want to see a fleet of my ships starting a raid on an enemy sector. A little notification, or my allies send a fast little messenger ship that tells me that they're about to start the assault. This alone would double the worth of the game, for me at least. (Once the raid is over and we're victorious, they set up defensive positions in the area) A lot of the community wants this, and i'm sure it'll improve the playability of the campaign. Open to suggestions!

Akaito/reassembly-ai-mod-example Diplomacy - Faction Expansion Let's break it down a little, objectives for this suggestion: - A few of the attacking ships form up in a small area and attack-move to a certain location. - That "Assault" squad stays relatively close together during the siege, supporting each other. - If that assault squad succeeds, they hold the area via one of the ships having a factory, spawning stations, and other ships. Defensive turret modules. - Pre-siege: Player recieves some sort of notification of the ships forming up for a siege, so they can help assist. Either by a notification on-screen or by a small "messenger" ship heading to the player's location and popping up a message. - All factions will be able to form an assault squad, thus setting up defensive stations throughout your faction's controlled area actually viable. - The assault squad will pull ships from the attacking pool of ships, or "roamers". about 1 year ago
