Since Organizr was written to run the "tabs" in the background, I never purposely use the split screen feature. It's only a minor annoyance when I accidentally split screen a tab (since I can just refresh), but it would be nice to disable to functionality altogether.

I don't know how to get rid of the split screen after accidentally opening it (and at this point I'm too afraid to ask).
